How To Reach Sissu Village

To reach Sissu Village in Himachal Pradesh, India, you can follow these general directions:

1. By Air : The nearest airport to Sissu Village is Bhuntar Airport in Kullu, which is approximately 100 kilometers away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Sissu.

2. By Road : Sissu Village is well-connected by road. You can reach Sissu by taking a bus or hiring a taxi from Manali, which is around 85 kilometers away. The journey from Manali to Sissu takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on road conditions. Alternatively, you can also drive from other nearby cities like Shimla or Chandigarh.

3. By Train : The nearest railway station to Sissu Village is Joginder Nagar Railway Station, which is approximately 140 kilometers away. From the railway station, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Sissu.

Best Time To Visit Sissu Village

The best time to visit Sissu Village in Himachal Pradesh, India, is during the summer and autumn months, which are from April to October. During this period, the weather in Sissu is pleasant and ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing. Summer (April to June) is the peak tourist season in Sissu, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. The days are generally sunny, making it a great time for trekking, exploring the village, and enjoying the scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains.

Autumn (September to October) is another favorable time to visit Sissu. The weather remains pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 20°C. The landscape is adorned with vibrant colors as the leaves change, creating a picturesque setting. It’s important to note that Sissu experiences heavy snowfall during the winter months (November to March), which can make transportation and outdoor activities challenging. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid visiting.

I visited Sissu in April this year witnessed amazing snowfall. Watch the videos and you will get to know how amazing it looks after snowfall. Only 4*4 vehicles are allowed during such weather so plan accordingly.
