Neemarana Fort
Neemrana fort is situated in Rajasthan and is around 3 hrs from Gurgaon. This makes this palace an ideal option for a weekend getaway.
The fort is a part of Neemrana group along with other forts in Rajasthan. The fort was built in the 14th century and later taken over by the Neemrana group to reconstruct and renovate the area into a beautiful resort.
There are several types of rooms in the resort. Each room has a unique name and are decorated with traditional Rajasthani art form. There are three major garden areas each having a different kind of view. In case you have seen the new Le ja re song, the song was featuring this fort. The charm of this fort is the night look. The fort literally lights up and looks beautiful. There are few open sitting areas as well. If you are visiting here in the summer, you will love the cool breeze sitting on the terrace.

How to reach Neemarana Fort
The most convenient option to reach here is by road. The Delhi Jaipur highway is well connected and you need to step down in the city of Neemrana to reach here. Inside the city it hardly takes a few kilometers to reach a lane which takes you to the fort parking. There is no proper board and you need to look around carefully to find the lane that takes you up to the fort. From the land to the parking lot, the road is narrow and steep so keep a good sight of the way you cross the area.
You can drive on your own, or take up Ola Uber as per your convenience.
How to book Neemarana Fort
The Neemrana fort is available on almost all travel apps like MakeMyTrip or Booking. You can directly call the property to book as well. In case they have any offer, they can provide you with a discount. The booking can also be done on their official website.
You can book from three available options –
- Lunch at Neemrana – Stay is not included in this option. You can visit the fort, travel around and have lunch in the fort. This was closed for a brief period of time after covid but is now open again.
- Stay at Neemrana – You can live in the fort for a night and experience how it would feel living in a 14th century fort. The breakfast is already included in the booking.
- Stay and dinner at Neemrana – You can even opt for a stay, including a dinner which is a buffet. If not, you can even order food in your room. The breakfast is also included in this booking.
Depending on the type of experience, you can choose any of the options. Since there are no other good options nearby, if you choose to stay in the fort do make sure to take the dinner option. If you want, you can drive till the highway and you can have dinner in some restaurant nearby like Hotel Highway King.
At the hotel reception, you need to present your covid vaccination report along with your Id. So make sure to keep it handy. There is ample space at the fort for parking so you can use your own vehicle.
Neemarana Fort Charges
If you decide to take the lunch buffet and not stay at a hotel, the charges are 1700/- per person. On weekends, the charges are 2000/- rupees for the same.
In case you are staying, the charges differ based on the type of room you choose. Also, the rates will differ on weekends. The basic room charges start at 11k per night without food and can go up to 35k per night. In case you call the hotel directly,there are chances of negotiation.
For dinner, the extra cost can be 2000/- INR.
Apart from stay, people can also book the Neemrana fort for pre wedding shoots. The charges for it start at around 40k. This can go up to 100k depending on the places you select in the fort to shoot. You can even book this fort for weddings but you need to contact the property for the price.
The fort is usually full over weekends so please plan in advance if you wish to visit here on special occasions.
Each room in the fort is decorated with stuff to represent the old times. Copper utensils, boxes , paintings and other stuff. The beds, chairs will also give you a king-like vibe. However,each room is equipped with the best facilities like fan , AC and separate washrooms.
Things to do in Neemarana Fort
If you are coming for a lunch buffet, then you can go to the fort at 10am and stay there till 2:30pm. Post the given time, the guests are not allowed to stay. During this time, guests can visit the open places in the fort, click pictures as you like and travel around.
If you choose to stay, the check in is at 2pm. As soon as you complete your visit formalities at the reception, you are welcomed to your room. There are two major sections of the fort. One that is facing the city and gives a beautiful backdrop of the sunset. Another set of rooms is near the pool on the higher section of the hill. The checkout time is 11am.
Guided tour
Around 4:30pm there is a small guided tour where they tell you about the history of the fort which is now majorly turned into a resort. In total,the resort has 77 rooms that can accommodate more than 150 guests. By 5pm, there is high tea served in an open area. Guests can enjoy tea coffee served with biscuits and enjoy the view of the fort. The tea is served till 6:30pm
Cultural Dance
At 7pm, a cultural dance show is performed in the fort in a staged area close to the swimming pool. The dancer showcases many dance forms along with a set of Rajasthani songs. The show runs for an hour.
There are spa sessions also available at additional costs. The spa room is close to the swimming pool. Guests can even enjoy a dip in the swimming pool. There is a gym if you wish to work out.
For activities, there is a camel ride that visitors can take from the parking lot area. There is also a zipline activity that can be interesting for children. There is also a chance to drive in a vintage car charged at 1500/-. The car takes you around 5 km in the village.
The dinner starts at 8pm and goes till 10:30pm.
The breakfast next day starts at 8am.
There are no sports activities or any play area dedicated. You’ll notice there is a mini fridge var but no tv in any of the rooms to give a living in the palace feel. can travel around the fort , there are many beautiful art forms that you can see around.
The fort is well decorated with stones, plants and flowers.
Food options in Neemarana Fort
For the dinner buffet, they have a variety of cuisine and not just the traditional Rajasthani food. The option starts from soup, starters like kebab to paneer tikka, chicken tikka, fried fish etc. In the main course, there are vegetables, gatta, paneer, chicken, mutton and mostly everything you can probably think of. In other cuisines you have pasta, noodles, fried rice and such things on demand. The staple rice,dal, and bread are also present. For dessert, you have pastries, gulab jamun, rasgulla and many more. There is an open sitting area for dinner. You will definitely love the ambience. The food is fresh and warm. There are waiters taking care of your food, water and other needs.
For breakfast, it is quite western as compared to traditional dinner. You have cereals, breads, cheese, eggs on demand, fruits, juice, tea, coffee, muffins, donuts, bread butter jam and so on. The traditional breakfast option is idli, aloo paratha and upma. The breakfast area is a closed space with a view.
There is a small shop at the parking area of the fort that has some decent snack options like Maggi, Paratha and chai. They also have few packaged food items available.
