Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon Review: Green Views, Food and Slow Service
The first thing I noticed was not the cafe. It was the open patch of green behind it, with golfers in the distance, old trees around the course and enough quiet to make Sector 23 feel farther from Gurgaon than it really is. I had come expecting coffee-shop seating. What I found was a cafe attached to a working golf facility, with a walking trail, outdoor tables and a small play area nearby.
That setting is the main reason to visit Hamoni Cafe by the Greens. The food mattered, of course. I ordered a chicken and egg sandwich, sat outside and watched the course instead of a road or another glass building. Service took a little time, and the prices felt on the higher side to me, but neither point spoiled the visit. The place gives you something many Gurgaon cafes struggle to provide: room to slow down.
Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon review: my short answer
Hamoni worked for me as a quiet breakfast or brunch stop, especially if the weather allows outdoor seating. The green setting, walking space and golf-course view are the strongest reasons to come. My chicken and egg sandwich looked well presented, arrived with fries and dip, and the portion was generous enough for the meal I wanted.
I would not choose it for a hurried bite. The drive towards Old Gurgaon can get congested if you are coming from Golf Course Road or Golf Course Extension Road, and the kitchen may take time because the food is prepared fresh. Come when you can sit, walk and let the visit stretch a bit. Otherwise, you are paying for an atmosphere you will barely use.
What the Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon entrance hides
The cafe building has a clean white exterior, a glass canopy and broad doors, with large plants softening the entrance. It looks smart without shouting for attention. Walk past that point and the setting changes. The tables open towards the golf grounds, trees interrupt the view, and the city noise starts to feel less immediate.
I had a small moment of doubt on the way. From the Golf Course Road side, Sector 23 does not feel close, and the tighter roads around Old Gurgaon can test your patience. I wondered whether I was driving this far for another photogenic cafe with average food. Once I reached the greens, that irritation faded. Not vanished, exactly. Gurgaon traffic has a long memory.
The cafe sits inside the Hamoni golf setup at CK Farm in the Sector 23A and Carterpuri side of Gurugram. Some parts of the grounds are reserved for players and coaches, so visitors should not assume the full course is open for wandering. There was still enough accessible space around the cafe for me to walk, look across the course and spend time away from the table.
Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon in the morning or evening?
Morning suited Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon. The air felt fresher around the trees, activity on the golf course gave me something to watch, and the outdoor area had a relaxed pace. I can see why people use Hamoni for breakfast, brunch or an unhurried conversation rather than a quick coffee between errands.
The evening has a different character. Lights around the trees and seating make the area feel more intimate, so couples looking for a quiet date may prefer that time. I visited in daylight, though. I am basing the evening comment on what I observed in the setup and on my own description in the video, not pretending these photographs were taken after dark.
Weather matters here more than it does at an indoor mall cafe. A hot afternoon or bad air day would reduce much of the appeal. On a pleasant Gurgaon morning, the outside tables make sense. If conditions are uncomfortable, there is indoor seating too, but the view is what separates Hamoni from an ordinary neighbourhood cafe.
Choosing between the indoor and outdoor tables
I picked the outside because sitting beside the trees and course was the reason I had driven over. The outdoor section has regular dining tables, taller tables, umbrellas and gravel underfoot. It feels open, but not exposed in the way a pavement table beside traffic does. The course remains visible through the trees and low planting.
The indoor room is useful when the weather turns. Through the glass, I could see a brighter, controlled dining space with proper seating and the cafe counter farther inside. It looked comfortable. I still would not travel across Gurgaon specifically for that room, because plenty of cafes can give me air-conditioning and a table. The outside area is the harder thing to replace.
Choose with the people in your group in mind. Older visitors may prefer a table closer to the building rather than walking farther along the path. Anyone sensitive to dust, heat or poor air should check the day before choosing the terrace. Couples may like the quieter edge of the outdoor section, while parents will probably want a seat that keeps the play area within view.
My Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon food order
I kept the order simple: a chicken and egg sandwich. It came as toasted triangular sections with visible layers, fries on the side and a small bowl of dip. The tray looked generous when it reached the table. I thought the quantity and presentation matched the club-cafe setting, and the food felt freshly prepared rather than assembled and left waiting.
The chicken club sandwich was ₹545 before tax. CGST and SGST added ₹13.63 each, taking my final bill to ₹572 on 21 January 2026. That still puts it on the expensive side for one sandwich, so whether it feels fair depends on how much you value the grounds, service and time spent there. This is not a roadside sandwich stop.
The sandwich was the only dish I tested during this visit. I cannot honestly rank the pasta, coffee, breakfast plates or desserts from reading a menu online. That sort of review would look comprehensive and tell you very little. My food verdict is limited to the plate in front of me: good quantity, neat presentation and a satisfying cafe meal.
If you want a lower-cost meal or intend to order several dishes for a large group, check the current menu before driving over. Menus and prices change. The older menu copies still floating around online are not reliable enough for a current price table.
Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon service: professional, not fast
The staff at Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon came across as professional. The slower part was the wait for food. I did not read that as neglect because the order appeared freshly made, but someone arriving hungry and pressed for time may judge it differently.
Here the delay is easier to absorb. I could leave the table, take a short walk and look around while the kitchen worked. Families can use the play area, and adults have the course view. That does not excuse an endless wait, but mine never reached that point. The setting gave the waiting time somewhere to go.
Still, I would build a little margin into the visit. Do not plan a tight thirty-minute stop before a meeting and then blame the trees for failing to hurry the kitchen.
Is the higher price justified?
I asked myself that while looking at the tray. A chicken and egg sandwich is not rare, and no view can rescue careless food. In my case, the serving was substantial, the bread had clear grill marks, the filling was visible across the cut pieces, and the fries did not look like a token handful thrown into an empty corner.
The setting is part of what you pay for. Staff maintain a club-like dining area beside active golf grounds, and people tend to stay longer than they would at a takeaway counter. That does not make every menu price automatically fair. It explains why I would judge Hamoni as an occasion cafe rather than compare it rupee for rupee with a small sandwich shop.
The receipt makes the trade-off easier to judge: ₹572 is not a casual sandwich price. The portion did not feel stingy, though, and I was satisfied with the food I ordered. I would pay it again when the plan includes time outdoors, not if I only need a quick meal.
Coming with children
The play area makes Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon easier for families than a tightly packed dining room. I saw slides, swings and a paved walking path near the greenery. Children have something to do while adults wait for the order, which is useful when fresh food takes longer than expected.
Parents should still supervise. The cafe shares its surroundings with a golf facility, and not every patch of green is a public lawn. Some areas are restricted to players and coaches. The visible play equipment and visitor paths provide enough space without treating the course as a free-for-all.
The paved path helps when a child has had enough of sitting. You can leave the table for a few minutes without wandering onto the course. I saw the slides and swings, but I didn’t inspect every bolt or try the equipment myself, so parents still need to keep watch.
Who will enjoy Hamoni Cafe Gurgaon?
I would bring someone here when we actually wanted to talk. That sounds like a small requirement for a cafe. In Gurgaon, with loud playlists and tables packed shoulder to shoulder, it isn’t always small.
Families get the play area. Couples can take an outside table near the edge. I wouldn’t make the drive on a brutally hot afternoon, though. If everyone has to retreat indoors, I lose the main reason for coming here.

Indoor and outdoor tables were both open during my visit. The path and play area in my photographs were accessible too. The golf grounds are a different matter. Some sections belong to players and coaches, so I stayed on the visitor side instead of treating every green patch as a park.
Monday was the weekly closure in the information available during my visit. Hours change, especially around holidays, so check the Hamoni Golf website or call before making a special trip. The receipt proves I paid ₹572 on 21 January 2026. It doesn’t promise the same price today.
My honest verdict
A sandwich beside a golf course is still a sandwich. Mine cost ₹572, which isn’t cheap. But there was no traffic lane beside my chair and no loud indoor rush. I walked while I waited. By the time the tray arrived, the drive had stopped irritating me.
Would I return? Yes, on a clear morning with a loose schedule. Not whenever I crave a sandwich. The weather, the walk and the open view have to be part of the plan, otherwise ₹572 feels much harder to defend.
Next time I might order something else, but I would take the same outside table.
