This place is popularly known as the mines of snow. As far as you can see, you will only find a white heap that looks like a White snowy place and also known as Moonland of Rajasthan.

It is actually very interesting to note how this place came into existence.Kishangarh is a small city in Rajasthan which has a lot of marbel industries. The challenge of disposing of the waste marbleoccured, so the Kishangarh Marble association came up with an idea to store the garbage in a particular piece of land. With time, this garbage increased to form small hill like structure giving a feeling of white sand desert. This place is spread over hueg area.

It is surely a beautiful site which is why it has turned into travel location. This place can be added to your itinerary if you are traveling around Ajmer or crossing the area.

Dumping yard is covered with white waste and a small water body ( which is toxic and should not be touched) If you are traveling by your own car, you can take it inside the space. There are places where you can shoot pictures like near the water body, horse rides etc.

How to reach Dumping Yard Kishangarh


You can easily locate it over map as ‘Dumping yard’ or ‘pre wedding location’. It is around 350km from Gurgaon. Kishangarh Dumping Yard is not a day-trip worth taking from Jaipur, and certainly not from Delhi, but if you happen to drive through the region, it is recommended that you take a detour and check out this unusually dramatic tourist spot. Kishangarh is a small city with narrow and uneven roads and you have to go a little outskirts to find the place.

Entry fees – Moonland of Rajasthan


There is no entry fees as such. You need to reach Kishangarh Marbel association office which is ~900m from the dumpyard, where you need to fill in few details (no of persons, aadhar card details, vehicle no) and they will put a stamp on the paper. You need to present the paper as you enter the dumping yard.

Best time to visit Dumping Yard Kishangarh


The site opens from 10am to 5pm. However, they remain open until sunset. Try to travel on weekdays. On weekends, you will mostly find the good spots busy with pre-wedding photoshoots. Also, it is suitable to reach here an hour before sunset to get the best views. This place is open till sunset and you need to vacate after sunset.
