The delivery took around 30 minutes. That is not unusually slow for Gurgaon, but this particular food does not improve while travelling. It arrived a little warm rather than properly hot, and the longer it remained wrapped, the more I noticed the paper affecting the bite.

The packaging was clean, but freshness took the hit

My Lexi’s Gourmet Sandwiches order looked neat when I opened it. The sandwich and chips were packed separately, nothing appeared carelessly thrown into the bag, and the presentation had some personality. There was even a cheeky “wait for sex” note playing on the brand’s “making sandwiches is sexy” line.

Clean packaging cannot replace temperature, though. The bread and filling had already cooled enough to change the experience. A grilled sandwich needs that fresh-off-the-press contrast: hot filling, toasted bread and a little crispness before steam softens everything. Mine had moved past that point.

I could still taste the pesto chicken combination, and I would not call the sandwich bad. The problem was value. At roughly ₹600 delivered, “okay” is a weak result. I wanted the bite that explained why people were travelling to a tiny counter after seeing it online. I did not get that.

The non-vegetarian side included Grilled Chicken and Bacon, Blackened Chicken, Katsu Chilli Chicken, Pesto Grilled Chicken Parmigiana, Prawntarn Poboy and other meat-heavy combinations.

Prices shown on that board mostly sat in the premium range, with several sandwiches around ₹399 to ₹499 and Lamb Birria listed higher. Since menus change, use the photograph as a record of my visit and check the live ordering pages before deciding.

The compact kitchen is visible behind the counter, and the operation is clearly designed around preparation, pickup and delivery. That explains the lack of seating, but it also makes stock communication more important. If the product depends on freshness and customers cannot sit there, a predictable pickup window becomes a big part of the value.

I would also avoid choosing several backup items only after reaching the window. During my visit, the whole operation had paused, and when delivery returned, the complete menu did not return at once. Decide on a first and second choice before calling. It saves the frustrating back-and-forth of checking an app while standing in the lane.

Who should try it, and who can skip it

Try Lexi’s Gourmet Sandwiches if you already live near DLF Phase 4 or Galleria, can confirm your chosen sandwich by phone and can eat it immediately after pickup. The menu has combinations that are less common than a routine grilled sandwich, so there is still curiosity value for someone who enjoys trying new fillings.

Skip a special journey if you cannot confirm stock. Also keep expectations realistic if you are ordering from farther away. A 30-minute ride may be perfectly normal for the delivery rider and still be too long for the sandwich.

Pickup makes more sense than a longer delivery

If I were ordering from Lexi’s Gourmet Sandwiches again, I would choose pickup. I would place the order only after someone confirmed the sandwich was available, reach the counter close to the promised time and eat it immediately. That removes the two weakest parts of my visit: arriving without stock confirmation and letting a grilled sandwich sit wrapped for about half an hour.

A nearby delivery can still work. The issue is distance. A customer five minutes away may receive a noticeably better sandwich than somebody on the other side of Gurgaon, even if both orders leave the same kitchen in good condition. Delivery ratings cannot fully explain that difference.
