I reached The Sunroom for brunch expecting a quiet cafe on the Gurgaon side of the
Delhi border. The first few minutes were better than that description suggests.
There was proper parking, a long palm-lined path, a broad lawn and enough space
between the tables for the place to feel relaxed rather than packed. The food was
good too, with one exception. The salad did not work for me.

This The Sunroom Gurgaon review is based on my own visit, the dishes we ate and
the route we used. I have included the good parts, the awkward approach road and
the limits of what I could judge during a fairly quiet brunch service. If you are
considering it for a family meal, a date or a slow weekend breakfast, those details
matter more than another list of decorative features.

**Quick answer from my The Sunroom Gurgaon review:** I would return for the green
setting, the spacious seating and the food. Our bill for three to four items stayed
below ₹2,000 for two people, and the portions were satisfying. I would plan the
route carefully, supervise children in the play area and avoid treating my quiet-
hour service experience as proof of what happens during a busy weekend evening.

The video shows the entrance, parking, lawn, indoor and outdoor seating, kids’ area,
food and the rough road section we encountered. It is the closest record of what
the cafe looked like during this visit.

## Finding The Sunroom without choosing the worst road

The cafe sits around the Palam Farms and Bijwasan side, on the outer edge of Gurgaon
towards Dwarka. That location is part of its appeal. You leave the dense commercial
parts of the city and arrive at something that feels more like a farm venue than
a regular shop-front cafe. It also means the final approach deserves attention.

Google Maps showed us more than one option. The route from the Sector 22 market
side was the one I preferred. Another route included a noticeably bad patch, with
broken and uneven road. I mentioned different rough distances while filming, so
I am not going to turn that into a false exact number here. The useful point is
simple: check the latest route before leaving and avoid blindly accepting a shortcut
just because it saves a few minutes on the screen.

The road is why this The Sunroom Gurgaon review includes more than food and lawn
photos. I would be even more careful after rain. The damaged section looked like
the kind of road where water could collect, though I did not visit during active
rainfall and cannot tell you its current condition. The area also felt isolated
enough that I personally would not choose a very late-night arrival. That is my
comfort judgement from this trip, not a claim about crime or a promise that one
route is always safer.

Current dining listings place the venue near Palam Farms and Village Bijwasan, but
local addresses and map pins can change. Check the [current venue listing](https://www.district.in/dining/ncr/the-sunroom-sector-23-gurgaon)
and live navigation on the day you travel.

## The Sunroom Gurgaon review: the garden is the reason to come here

The entrance opens into a proper green property rather than a token patch of grass
placed beside a dining room. A banquet space appears near the front, then the path
continues towards the main cafe. The lawn is broad, the hedges were trimmed and
the palms create a long visual line through the property. It looked cared for. That
first impression held up as I walked around.

There are open tables on the lawn, covered cabanas and a glass-walled indoor room.
On a pleasant winter morning, a cloudy afternoon or a mild evening, I would choose
the lawn. You get more of the reason for driving this far. The outdoor section also
had coolers, which can help, but I would not expect any cooler to make peak Gurgaon
summer feel gentle.

Outdoor tables include open seating and covered cabanas.

The indoor room is not a fallback that cuts you off from the property. Its glass
walls face the garden, so you still see the lawn and trees while sitting in air
conditioning. The floor, curtains and black-framed windows give it a clean, simple
look. It felt spacious during my visit, though a full house would naturally change
the noise and movement.

Indoor tables still have a clear view of the garden.

## Is The Sunroom suitable for families with children?

It is one of the more practical parts of the cafe for a family visit. I saw a separate
children’s play area with slides, climbing equipment and an activities board. The
property is enclosed, and a guard was present at the entrance when I visited. That
made the setting feel easier to manage than a cafe opening directly onto a busy
road.

For parents reading The Sunroom Gurgaon review before a visit, the play area is
useful but supervision remains necessary.

I would not describe it as supervised childcare. I did not verify a staff member
assigned to watch children, equipment inspections or age limits. Parents still need
to stay close, check the equipment themselves and keep an eye on the lawn. The play
corner is a useful facility, not a reason to switch off.

## What we ate and what I would skip

For this The Sunroom Gurgaon review, the meal mattered as much as the setting.

Anyone reading The Sunroom Gurgaon review for a food verdict should know that the
salad was the exception, not the meal. The food matched the setting better than
I expected. It arrived fresh, the presentation was neat and the portions felt fair
for the bill. We ordered three to four items, paid under ₹2,000 for two people and
left full. I did not retain an itemised bill or the exact price of every dish, so
I am not going to manufacture a menu breakdown from memory.

The Paneer Taka Taka quesadilla is the dish I can identify directly from my photograph.
It came in grilled triangles with a paneer filling, salsa and a white dip. The outside
had clear grill marks, the filling was generous and it was easy to share. This was
the plate I would order again.

We also had a tall chocolate-coloured shake. I am keeping that description visual
because I do not have the menu name in my notes. It arrived cold, thick and neatly
presented with a dark garnish on the rim. The drink fitted the relaxed brunch mood
and photographed well without feeling like presentation was hiding a poor product.

One of the drinks served during my brunch visit.

The salad was my one clear miss. It looked attractive on the plate, with a creamy
dressing and colourful garnish, but I did not enjoy it as much as the other items.
I would skip that choice next time and put the money towards another savoury plate.
A pretty plate is still allowed to be average.

## Service, hygiene and the quiet-hour limitation

This The Sunroom Gurgaon review records fast brunch service, not peak-hour performance.
Service was quick during my brunch visit. The staff spoke politely, handled our
order without confusion and even helped with photographs when asked. That small
interaction felt genuine. Our table did not spend long waiting for the food, and
I did not have to chase anyone for basic service.

There is an important limit to that observation. The cafe was not crowded at the
time, so I cannot tell you how the same team performs during a full Saturday evening
or a private event. Fast service in a quiet room is useful evidence, but it is not
the same test as a packed dinner.

The dining areas looked clean, and the washrooms were clean when I checked them.
The counter, display case and indoor tables also appeared orderly. Hygiene can change
from one shift to another, so this is a record of what I saw, not a permanent certificate.

## The Sunroom Gurgaon review verdict

Yes, if you want space and greenery more than a central location. The cafe worked
for me because the lawn, parking, indoor option and food all supported the same
kind of unhurried meal. It did not feel as if the garden existed only for photographs.
We sat comfortably, ate well and did not feel rushed.

The road warning is real, and the salad was not a repeat order. I also cannot promise
the same speed of service at peak time. Those points do not cancel the visit, but
they stop this from becoming empty praise.

For another family-friendly Gurgaon outing, my [Carnatic Cafe Gurgaon review](https://foodandtraveltales.com/carnatic-cafe-gurgaon-review/)
covers a busier, more food-first experience, while my [Mustard Madras review](https://foodandtraveltales.com/mustard-madras-gurgaon-review/)
looks at a calmer indoor meal. If a garden setting is the main attraction, compare
this visit with my [Jugnoo Cafe Leopard Trail review](https://foodandtraveltales.com/jugnoo-cafe-leopard-trail-review/).

## Questions I would have asked before going

### Does The Sunroom have parking?

A large parking area was available when I visited, and finding a space was easy
at brunch time. Capacity during weddings, private functions or peak evening hours
may be different.

### Can children use a play area?

Yes, I photographed a separate play area with slides and other equipment. I did
not see evidence of dedicated childcare, so adults should supervise and check suitability
for their child.

### Is there indoor seating?

Yes. The glass-walled indoor dining room overlooks the garden and offers an air-
conditioned alternative when the lawn is too hot, humid or wet.

### How much did the meal cost?

Our three to four items cost below ₹2,000 for two people during this visit. Menus
and prices change, so check the current listing or restaurant menu before relying
on that figure.

### What is the biggest drawback?

For me, it was the approach. One map route took us through a rough road section.
Check live navigation, prefer the better-maintained approach available on the day
and leave enough daylight if unfamiliar roads make you uncomfortable.

That is the practical conclusion of my The Sunroom Gurgaon review.

I came for a brunch cafe and ended up liking the property as much as the meal. I
would go back on a winter morning, choose an outdoor table, reorder the quesadilla
and take the better road from the start. That last part would make the return visit
much easier.
